This session will help teachers refine and extend their work with informational texts to incorporate a stronger emphasis on guided reading and guided writing in the many forms which are inherent in nonfiction. Models for writing, craft lessons for nonfiction and fine tuning of comprehension instruction are the foundation of this session.
