Guided Reading and Literature Circles

Instructing children in small groups enables us to observe them in authentic ways. To provide explicit modeling and to engage in literate conversation to foster lifelong learners and readers is essential. To provide immediate feedback in strategy instruction is a necessity. Our children need exemplary practices that will lead them to independence.  Explore the ways in which exemplary teachers manage these best practices in their classrooms.
