Specific strategies/activities for teaching content, academic success skills and language development for English Language Learners

Awake tomorrow invigorated and full of energy, confident of your ability to impart content in a comprehensible way! Participants will be introduced to a framework for creating mindful English Language development strategy instruction and effective practices for sheltering lesson content. Language acquisition theory will be practices and presented.  Strategy practice will be provided for previewing texts, activating background knowledge, creating opportunities for verbal interaction and assessment.
