Components of a successful program of comprehension instruction

Sleep better knowing your students will comprehend at higher and deeper levels! Participants will be introduced to a balanced approach to teaching literacy as well as a framework for understanding success and difficulty in reading. Six key comprehension strategies will be presented and practiced and the components of a successful program of comprehension instruction with the goal of developing effective readers will be discussed.
