How Can I Get My Students to Write a Research Report without Plagiarizing? (K-8)

Based on ideas stemming from Holton’s work on research writing, students learn how to take ideas from texts and make them their own. They are taught how to organize their facts, write them in an interesting, “you have to read this” style that makes their research come alive to the reader. No more dull, boring, state reports or biographies that cause the eye lids to close—you will learn now to make research fun and meaningful. We will begin with research on the world of bats!
